GFO clinics take initial stock / MAGS hearing procedure
The second consultation procedure for hospital planning by the Ministry of Labor, Health and Social Affairs (MAGS) was sent to us on Friday, June 14, 2024. At the same time, the MAGS published its proposals for the reorganization of the hospital landscape transparently on its website. These are well-founded but preliminary proposals that are open for input by the hospitals. The MAGS will evaluate and respond to these in a structured manner after the summer vacation.
The GFO, like every operator, has evaluated its hospitals in terms of strengths and weaknesses during the entire planning process, examined and implemented collaborations and created perspectives for each hospital and the entire association.
After initial evaluations of the consultation documents, we can basically say that the results of the consultation have confirmed our work on the prospects of the GFO hospitals. In the near future, we will continue to work with the management and staff of the hospitals to further substantiate the plans and, where important and necessary, to take up the opportunity to communicate with the district governments and the MAGS. Unfortunately, this planning takes time and requires patience, as it is important to handle the planning process with care and not contribute to rumors by making hasty statements.
The sustainable concept of our state government also presents the GFO hospital association with the challenge of setting ourselves up for the future. These decisions are also associated with losses in some areas of the GFO, which are regrettable or difficult, but in other areas we are experiencing signals for the development and expansion of our plans. All in all, we will create future-proof structures in the GFO and continue to fulfill our role as a sponsor with a Christian-Franciscan orientation in a constructive and committed manner.
The hospitals and also the GFO are helping to shape care, true to the motto - Franciscan - open - turned towards.
