As a non-profit organisation, we focus on sustainable ecological, social and economic measures in our facilities in order to achieve long-term positive effects on the environment, society and the economy.

Sustainability strategy As a non-profit organisation, we focus on sustainable ecological, social and economic measures in our facilities in order to achieve long-term positive effects on the environment, society and the economy.

As a non-profit organisation in the tradition of St Francis of Assisi with facilities in the areas of elderly care, child and youth welfare and healthcare, it is our responsibility to promote and implement sustainable practices. Our sustainability strategy aims to integrate ecological, social and economic sustainability in order to ensure a long-term positive impact on our community and the environment.

Our mission statement is to create a liveable and sustainable future for all generations. We are committed to:

  • Ecological sustainability: Conserving resources and protecting the environment
  • Social sustainability: promoting social justice and equal opportunities
  • Economic sustainability: acting economically while taking long-termeffects into account

    3.1 Energy efficiency and emissions reduction

    • Goal: Voluntary reduction of CO₂ emissions, climate neutrality in accordance with the climate targets of the Climate Protection Act by 2045
    • Measures:
      • Switch to renewable energies
      • Energy-efficient buildings and facilities (e.g. through energy-efficient refurbishment)
      • Use of LED lighting and energy-efficient appliances
